It can be one, if theres another high risk factor, such as youthfulness, or if there was vehicular homicide or reckless driving or OUI involved.
But, I think youre asking, if you have another accident, will you be high risk? Absolutely yes. How much does it cost? Theres no straight answer. Its going to depend on a whole bunch of factors. Its not a one price covers all policy.
I have a non-standard higher risk car Insurance company and need ad ideas. Got any?
Well, EVERYONE focuses on the service end, Id say, focus on getting them OUT of high risk – offer a 10 minute credit opinion or driving advice. I can see the billboard – stick with us, and well stick with you, so Progressive doesnt have to stick it TO you longer than necessary.
A lot of people have no idea WHY they are higher risk, and could use some advice to fix their problems.

Here is what i have a speeding ticket, failure to stop at a signs, carless, suspended, speeding less than 10 and i have an SR22 in Oregon, anybody knows of a cheap car insurance company for high risk drivers?
R:
Look it is very difficult to find cheap car insurance for high risk drivers, especially when you have had so many violations. What you need to do is to shop around compare quotes from different companies and buy auto insurance coverage even if the best price you can get is not cheap.
Just start driving safely dont drive at speed, try to keep you mileage low, dont drive unless its absolutely necessary, dont get any tickets, respect the traffic signs and after a while you may be able to ask for a discount or reduction of you auto insurance rates.
But at this moment no company will give you very cheap rates until you can prove that you are no longer a high risk driver.
A way to reduce your rates is to get just the necessary coverage and increase your dedutible to get the lowest possible premium.
But stop driving reckless and be careful, if you keep making driving problems you wont be able to lower your rates.

There are some drivers that are considered to be high risk due to the many accidents they have had or because they are very young and have no experience. If you are in that situation you can do a few things to keep your rates as low as possible.
Is important that you drive safely avoid any claims and speeding tickets. As time goes on with no incidents you will be able to lower your rates.
Another thing that you can do is lower your mileage, if you can use your car less or just use it on weekends it will be greate to reduce your rates, because the less you drive the less probability of having an accident. Keep your mileage under 10,000 miles a year and you may be able to ask for a discount.
On the other hand young people under 25 years old are considred high risk and thus pay higher rates, even though they may not have caused an accident. YOu need to ask for student discounts, have good grades, take a driving course, dont drive at night and you will get better rates.
Another reason why you may be gettin high risk car insurance rates is because you are driving a car that statistically causes many accidents or is easily stolen.
Sports cars are high risk and pay very high rates, avoid them. There are also some types of cars that are more prone to be stolen and thus pay higher rates, avoid them.
Ask you insurance agent for any possible additional discounts, have a good driving record and you may be able to stop being a high risk driver.
Shop around and compare auto insurance quotes online, is very easy just enter your zip code in the box above this page.
